Medalta Museum open Family Day Weekend

During Alberta’s Family Day weekend (February 15 – 18), all of Medalta’s museum, galleries and gift shop will be open daily to the public.

Family Day Weekend will be the final weekend for the Medalta International Artists in Residence Alumni Exhibition in the Yuill Family Gallery. This exhibition features contemporary artwork from a number of previous Medalta resident artists.

Also in the Yuill Family gallery is a new exhibition of artwork by the Medicine Hat College’s Visual Communications program. The exhibition features large-format portraits by students of that program.

Visitors are encouraged to visit Medalta’s museum, gift shop and galleries throughout the winter season. Updates to events and hours are posted online at or in our monthly e-newsletter, which people can sign up for online.
