2012 Alto Award Applications Now Available
The Alto Awards recognize individuals and organizations committed to enriching Alberta’s tourism industry and who by their actions inspire others and demonstrate what can be achieved by working together. The Alto Awards will be presented at the Alto Awards Banquet, in conjunction with the 2012 Travel Alberta Industry Conference, Monday, October 22, 2012 at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and Conference Centre.
The Alto Awards Committee is pleased to announce a few changes to the 2012 Alto Awards:
- A new award – Tourism Community of the Year. This award is designed to acknowledge a collective and successful effort on the part of a community to work together to promote or support tourism.
- Changes to the Marketing Excellence Awards. The Marketing Excellence Awards have been divided into three separate awards based on project budgets. The breakdown is “Under $10,000”, “$10,000 - $25,000” and “Over $25,000”. There have also been some updates to the questions on the Marketing Excellence Form.
- The Friends of Tourism Award has been discontinued at this time.
