The Calgary Hotel Association (CHA) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Richard Main, general manager at the Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott Calgary Airport, as chairman. The appointment follows the CHA’s annual general meeting on Thursday.

“I am honoured to take on the role of chairman for the CHA board at this exciting and important time for our organization,” said Mr. Main. “The coming year holds great things for our members, the tourism industry, and Calgary as a whole. I look forward to working with current and future partners to enhance Calgary as an emerging cosmopolitan destination.

“And I can’t thank (outgoing chairman) Dan McGowan enough for his part in setting up the promising year ahead. The past months have presented both challenges and opportunities for the CHA, and Dan’s leadership through them has been absolutely indispensable.”
