Update on Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

The eTA is a new entry requirement for air travellers from countries that currently DO NOT need a visa to visit Canada (excluding US citizens). As of August 1, the eTA can be obtained online through a short questionnaire on the government's website and electronically linked to your passport number. Enrollment in eTA will be voluntary until March 15, 2016 at which time the eTA will become mandatory for entry to Canada.

TIAC will continue to update our website  with information and supporting materials from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). Marketing efforts by CIC will start in December/January – it's imperative that we all work on spreading the word about this new requirement!

Stay tuned for more updates!
