Tourism is the world’s fourth fastest growing industry with almost $80 billion generated in economic activity in Canada alone. Across Canada, over 600,000 people are employed in tourism.

“Locally Lethbridge has approximately 500 tourism related businesses and employs around 6,000 people in the industry," says Jaci Zalesak, Director of Client Relations for Chinook Country Tourist Association. "Tourism is a huge influencer in people relocating or starting a new business in our region and southwest Alberta has a multitude of unique attractions including two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We would like to take the time to honour the people and business that make tourism in our region so successful and such a great place to live”.
