Recruitment for Travel Alberta CEO Continues

Travel Alberta’s Board of Directors continues the recruitment process for a new Chief Executive Officer.

Bruce Okabe, Travel Alberta’s current CEO, will continue to lead the Corporation through this transition until October 31, 2014.

Okabe will be in attendance at Travel Alberta’s 2014 Travel Alberta Industry Conference and will present the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, October 20, highlighting results of Travel Alberta’s fifth year as a Crown Corporation and the state of tourism in Alberta heading into 2015.

Following the AGM, Okabe will also present with Travel Alberta’s Board Chair, Rick LeLacheur, at the concurrent session Dialogue with Travel Alberta – An interactive Q&A session from 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Travel Alberta is the tourism marketing agency of the Government of Alberta. Established as a Crown corporation on April 1, 2009, the agency promotes Alberta’s authentic experiences in breathtaking landscapes both at home and around the world. Travel Alberta operates under authority of the Travel Alberta Act, and is accountable to the Minister of Culture and Tourism.
