Be a part of the Calgary Stampede Parade

Show off your creativity, spirit and community pride when you submit an application for the 2014 Calgary Stampede Parade. The world-class Parade kicks off the 10-day Calgary Stampede on Friday, July 4, 2014 and deadlines for parade entries is Friday, March 14.

“I’m very excited about this year’s parade, given the variety of applications submitted to this point,” says Mayne Root, Calgary Stampede Parade committee chair. “The Parade is a great way for people, social clubs and organizations to showcase themselves and give back to their community, not to mention the team spirit that it brings.”

This year, the parade committee is encouraging international entries along with entries from r our great city, province and nation. The Parade will be a culmination of intricate floats, marching bands, western riders and other distinctive exhibits.

The Parade is broadcast live to a regional and national TV audience of almost two million, with approximately 350,000 spectators lining the streets of downtown Calgary to take in the celebration.

Applications are due Friday, March 14, 2014 and must be received prior to 4 p.m. MST.
