ATIS - A free marketing tool to help grow your business

If you haven’t signed up for an ATIS account or added your packages, events and news into the Alberta Tourism Information Service (ATIS) you’re missing out on a valuable tool that can help to market your business for free.

ATIS is the provincial platform for digital tourism information on Alberta. As a self-service platform, Alberta tourism operators can promote their businesses via a number of online and offline marketing channels.

When you upload your package and event information into ATIS, it is used it to populate Travel Alberta’s consumer website at and also for campaign activities, newsletter content and social media sites. Packages are listed in the Travel Deals section and events are listed in the Events & Festivals section.

You can also post your industry events, industry news releases and job postings to be listed on Travel Alberta’s Industry website at

Consumers go online to find and research holiday destinations and to plan and book their travel. They use many different sources to achieve this ranging from travel reviews, online booking tools, travel planning websites and destination marketing websites. Therefore it is important for a tourism business to be in as many online places as possible in order to be in front of as many consumers as possible.
