Volunteers Needed! Jasper Parks Day

Join the Friends of Jasper National Park THIS Saturday (July 16th) as we celebrate the biggest and best Parks Day that Jasper has ever seen!

This year’s historic Parks Day event will include the raising of Jasper’s new totem pole, free guided hikes, outdoor climbing wall, children’s games and crafts, interpretive displays, fundraising barbecue, aboriginal food and craft vendors, family entertainment with Juno award-winner Peter Puffin, a celebration of Parks Canada’s centennial with the Singing Park Wardens, a book launch with Graeme Pole and more

Events will take place on the Information Centre lawn from 10am to 3pm (with the totem pole ceremony continuing until 5pm). Please see the attached schedule (which will also appear in this week’s Fitzhugh) for complete event details. Parks Day

Volunteers are still needed! Be part of this exciting event and receive a complimentary totem pole t-shirt, a free lunch an invitation to our volunteer wrap-up party. Email if you’re interested in helping out!
