Town of Okotoks wins 2012 Marketing Canada Award

The Town of Okotoks was awarded a Marketing Canada Award for the 2012 Okotoks Visitors Guide during the recent Economic Developers Association of Canada’s 44th Annual Conference.

This year’s awards program attracted 160 submissions from across Canada.

“The Town of Okotoks is very pleased to accept this award and to be recognized by our peers on the hard work of our Economic Development team. We pride ourselves in providing quality information to both our residents and visitors that promotes and strengthens our wonderful community,” says Mayor Bill Robertson.

The Okotoks Visitor Guide features information on amenities, services and activities in the Okotoks area. 20,000 copies are distributed to various locations throughout our community, the Foothills, Calgary, British Columbia and Montana.

The Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) is Canada’s national association of economic development professionals. The Association’s mission is to enhance the professional competence of economic development professionals and ensure placement of qualified people in the field of economic development, to advance economic development as a distinct, recognized, and self governing profession and to contribute to Canada’s well being.

Okotoks, with a current population of 24,962, is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada.
