Celebrate Canada’s Tourism Week

Tourism Week in Canada, June 16 – 20, is a national initiative by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) to highlight the economic opportunity available to Canada through travel and tourism. It aligns tourism organizations, businesses and other partners from across the country around a common vision: a tourism sector unencumbered by government policies and recognized for its contribution to the Canadian economy.

Get involved in Tourism Week! This is a great opportunity to kick-off the peak summer season in Alberta and showcase the diverse range of authentic experiences that our province has to offer.

Tourism revenue is a key economic driver in Alberta and contributes to the well-being of all Albertans. Alberta's Tourism Framework was developed by the Alberta government and Travel Alberta following extensive discussion with people involved in the tourism industry. This Framework aligns Alberta’s efforts—across government and industry—to market and develop authentic tourism experiences.
