Mighty Peace Tourist Association hires new Executive Director

Mighty Peace Tourism is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Executive Director, Jenna Dacyk, who took on the position earlier this month.

“The Executive Committee has the confidence that Jenna will continue to build on the association's current positive direction and help us update our strategic plan early in the new year to continue to grow the association's service to it's members” said Second President, Norm Duval.

Dacyk was born and raised in Fairview. Professionally, she has relevant experience in organizational management and the fields of tourism, marketing, sponsorship and communications.

After attending university in Edmonton, and earning a Bachelor of Design, Dacyk worked with non-profit organizations in the sport and tourism industry both locally and internationally. Recently she has returned back to her hometown of Fairview.

“I’m excited to be back in the north and have the opportunity to help further promote the Mighty Peace Region,” said Dacyk. “I intend to build upon recent growth within the organization and further increase the profile of the Mighty Peace Tourism brand, which I believe will eventually benefit our entire region, socially, economically and otherwise.”

Mighty Peace Tourism was established in 1963 and represents the business community and member municipalities to promote tourism in the Peace Region. Municipal members include the Village of Berwyn, Clear Hills County, the County of Northern Lights, the Town of Grimshaw, the Village of Hines Creek, the Town of Manning, the Town of Fairview, the MD of Fairview, the MD of Peace No. 135, the MD of Spirit River, the Village of Nampa, Northern Sunrise County, the Town of Peace River and the Town of Spirit River.
