Improved Multimedia Services for Alberta's Tourism Industry

Are your print and online marketing materials needing a refresh? Are you looking for multimedia assets to complement your current resources? You can now access tourism photography, video, maps and stories all in one place.

The Alberta Culture and Tourism Digital Assets Library (DAL) and the Travel Alberta Multimedia Library have merged to improve multimedia services for the tourism industry. This means the Ministry of Alberta Culture and Tourism is no longer taking new requests for media assets. However, you will be able to access the images and footage previously available through the DAL via Travel Alberta’s multimedia library.

The transfer of images will take place throughout the month of March with an expected completion date of April 3, 2015. Video footage will be available online towards the end of June 2015. During this transition period, if you require a specific asset that you would have previously found on the DAL, please email

If you don’t currently have access to Travel Alberta’s multimedia library, it’s easy and free to register. Upon registration, you'll have immediate access to the system and an initial set of tourism brand assets. Access to additional resources will be based on required business needs. This service is available on a 24-hour basis to clients around the world.

For assistance with the Travel Alberta Multimedia Library, please contact our Digital Asset Management Specialists by email. Visit our industry site for more information about the multimedia library.

Thank you for your patience in this time of transition.
