Southern Alberta Regional school Heritage Fair

Saturday MAY 14 | 9:30 am – 2:30 pm | Galt Museum & Archives

Grade 4-9 students from across Southern Alberta have put together amazing Canadian history projects for the 16th annual Southern Alberta Regional School Heritage Fair scheduled for Saturday, May 14 at the Galt Museum & Archives.

“The Southern Alberta Regional Heritage Fair is without a doubt my favourite day of the year,” says Belinda Crowson, Regional Fair Coordinator. “At the Fair, kids make history – they decide what stories they want to tell and how they want to tell them. The Regional Fair reminds me every year that the future of Canadian history is in good hands.”

The projects will be available for public viewing between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm.

“I invite everyone to come to the Galt on May 14th to meet these young historians and see their projects on our shared history,” says Crowson. “You’ll be amazed at what you learn. And you’ll be inspired by the work and research the students have done.”

From May 7th to 14th, three other regional fairs are taking place across the province: in Grande Prairie, Edmonton and Red Deer.
