We are looking for a creative and innovative Tourism professional to join our Product Development Team, as Tourism, Product & Experience Developer. Leading the Way, this role will provide support to stakeholders in developing tourism products that are market ready. Working with our team this role will support the Product Development unit with development of itineraries, packaging, and supporting individual stakeholders.

Job Details

The Tourism, Product & Experience Developer will identify tourism products within the Edmonton region and create itineraries to target specific geographical markets to promote tourism in our city. With big picture thinking and experience in the tourism industry, this role will support industry growth by developing unique products and provide creative solutions to our partners so we can attract more visitors. In collaboration with our Tourism Team this role will build long-term relationships within the industry and our stakeholders, to help businesses connect and develop export ready products. With demonstrated knowledge of the industry this role will assist with creation and execution of educational initiatives such as workshops, itineraries and packages.

As the ideal candidate for this role you have 3-5 years’ experience working within the Tourism industry, complemented by post-secondary education in Tourism/Marketing or a related field of study. You are a strategic and creative individual, with an entrepreneurial spirit who will have no problem developing tourism products that fit the needs of the overall Tourism strategic road map. Because of your comfort level in relationship building and superb interpersonal skills you quickly earn credibility and trust with stakeholders and can build long-term partnerships and connections. You have high attention to detail and excel in a fast paced environment; with outstanding organizational skills you can handle multiple client priorities. In addition, you are aware of granting/funding agencies to maximize resources available to you in Edmonton.
