Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Consumer Marketing Canada, the Specialist, Consumer Marketing Canada is responsible for managing marketing and administrative projects that contribute to the strategic and tactical proficiency of the North American marketing team. This role communicates with industry partners and external clients, facilitates activities for the Canada team, and provides administrative support for campaigns and implementation.

Position Requirements

 As Specialist, Consumer Marketing Canada your knowledge of the tourism industry, current market trends and Alberta’s tourism product along with your innovative and creative approach will assist you in the development and execution of events and campaigns. Your working knowledge of collateral creation and familiarity of design software and file types will support the North American Marketing Team with consumer campaign initiatives and partnerships. Your organization, attention to detail and decision making skills, together with your ability to act with conviction will establish and foster relationships with marketing partners, Alberta industry, agencies, and contractors. Your experience with tracking and analyzing large project budgets will ensure quality and timeliness of project execution.  

Your education in Marketing is complemented with at least two years of consumer, tourism or event marketing experience. Your dedication and passion has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting working environment!     

Special Requirements

Some domestic and international travel may be required. Some overtime may be required.

This position is based in the Calgary office.  Classification: Specialist 2, Salary Range: $59,568 - $77,424 Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Employment Status: Full Time
