Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Industry Development, the Director, Cooperative Marketing is responsible for assessing and investing in the tourism marketing initiatives of Alberta based partners though out the Province. This role will provide leadership and be involved in the development and execution of strategic plans, the building of relationships and networks, the delivery of marketing consultation and cooperative marketing investment programs. This position is an integral partner in setting the tactical direction of the Industry Development business unit in alignment with Travel Alberta’s marketing and tourism strategy.

Position Requirements
As Director, Cooperative Marketing you understand the intricacies of tourism marketing, the tourism industry and its stakeholders. Your experience with political relationship management and your ability to listen and collaborate with industry will enable you to act with conviction. Your energy and leadership with respect to marketing consultation will engage industry partners throughout the Province.

A degree/diploma in business, marketing, tourism, communications or related field complements a minimum of five years of leadership experience. Dedication and passion for tourism and marketing has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting working environment!

Special Requirements
Frequent in-province travel.
This position is based in Calgary
