Tourism Jasper has an immediate opening for the position of Marketing Specialist.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Brand Development, this position requires active involvement in all aspects of marketing campaigns and initiatives, branded collateral, experiential marketing initiatives, and consumer direct communications.
Key Function areas:
·Work with Digital, Media & Public Relations and Visitor Experience teams to develop and execute a fully integrated marketing plan.
·Manage the development and execution of all consumer direct marketing campaigns and initiatives for Tourism Jasper; including print, radio, online and other media.
·Lead development and execution of collateral and advertising creative, ensuring it adheres to the Jasper Brand.
·Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to leverage media buys and campaigns, and ensure best possible ROI for the spend.
·Work to strengthen brand voice and represent the brand in campaigns and initiatives, developing ways to tie in online, social platforms, media outlets, and trade into current strategies.
·Communicate marketing information and results to internal team, Shareholders and Industry Partners
·Analyze campaign effectiveness, and make recommendations for future campaigns.
·Develop marketing funding applications and evaluations to best leverage available marketing dollars.
·Regularly monitor and evaluate the marketing landscape for effective new tools, trends, strategies and emerging technologies.
·Build reporting dashboards to effectively report and demonstrate ROI for our campaigns.
·Cultivate, manage, and maintain relationships with Shareholders, team members, agency partners, and industry.
·Manage creative agencies and contracted vendors.
·Lead the development of branded collateral and promotional items
·Bolster organization-wide brand knowledge by supporting internal staff and Shareholder trainings, knowledge-sharing processes, and best practices.
·Communicate offline and online media specifications to appropriate vendors/contractors/agencies
·Various other duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
·Must have relevant post secondary education and/or a minimum of 2 years experience in the discipline of marketing and/or communications.
·Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and projects a positive public image for the Alberta tourism industry and Tourism Jasper.
·Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
·Knowledge of Jasper products and experiences.
·High attention to detail.
·Superior Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook)
·Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to work effectively with Shareholders, team members, industry, and agencies.
·Strong initiative, time management, and project management skills.
·Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
·A positive, “can do” attitude that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
·Knowledge of Explorer Quotient (EQ) an asset
·Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
This position is based in Jasper, Alberta.
