The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for setting and implementing Travel Alberta’s IT strategy and ensuring appropriate governance and policy adherence. Collaborating with a variety of business units, this hands-on position will lead the planning, implementation, and management of new and existing business services and enterprise applications.
Key responsibilities include:
•Lead the planning, implementation and management of cloud based and on-premise business applications and services including but not limited to: Active Directory, Lync, Exchange Server, Dynamics AX, Dynamics CRM, and SharePoint.
•Identify and translate business requirements into system specifications.
•Identify and assist in resolving system, procedural or operational problems and make recommendations to improve business functions.
•Manage relationships with third party service providers to ensure on-time and on-budget completion of projects including the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) as required.
•Manage volume licensing agreements with Microsoft and other software vendors.
•Develop and manage the IT budget.
•Lead the creation and implementation of new IT policies and processes.
As Senior Systems Analyst you understand how to plan and implement enterprise IT solutions that support an organizations business strategy. Your collaborative approach along with your hands-on experience planning, implementing, and managing enterprise business solutions, developing IT strategies/policies, leading projects, budgets and third party vendors, enables you to drive business performance and improve efficiency. Your strong communication and interpreting skills enable you to explain and convey technical knowledge to non-technical stakeholders.
Your degree in Computer Science or related field is complemented with five or more years of relevant, progressively responsible hands-on experience. Your dedication and passion in information technology has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting working environment!
This position is based in the Calgary office.
