Reporting to the Director, Meeting Conventions & Incentive Travel (MC&IT); the Marketing Assistant, MC&IT facilitates administrative and marketing projects that contribute to the strategic and tactical proficiency of the department. This role will work directly with the Marketing Specialist, MC&IT on administrative projects, database management, partner surveys, familiarization (FAM) tours, site visit schedules, coordinating events and special projects as required.
As Marketing Assistant, MC&IT you understand the tourism industry and marketing processes. Your ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, problem solve and work cooperatively with diverse people in a variety of settings will enable you to operate with accountability. Your attitude and collaborative approach enhances your ability to build relationships with team members and external partners. You are skilled in business communications and Microsoft Office Suite. You are currently enrolled and have completed one year in a relevant hospitality, tourism or marketing program.
Some travel may be required.
This position is based in the Calgary office.
