Over the past two years TCK has made solid progress in building Canmore Kananaskis’ exposure through travel trade channels – particularly through Canadian-based Receptive Tour Operators. The Manager, Travel Trade Sales will be responsible for the continued growth of this travel trade exposure through relationship-building, face-to-face sales and training and development of stakeholders to ensure availability of market-ready products.
The successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual with exceptional sales and relationship-building skills, excellent organization and follow-up skills, and ideally a minimum of 3 years working in tourism sales. Existing relationships within the industry and with key industry stakeholders are a strong asset. The role reports directly to the President & CEO.
-Strong understanding of travel trade and excellent partner relationships
-Knowledge of and passion for Canmore Kananaskis
-Proven experience in growing and developing tourism sales channels
-Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders and to understand stakeholder needs
-Attention to detail, strong organizational ability, ability to work under pressure, and a strong self-motivation to meet targets
-Accountability for measurable, high quality, timely results
-Minimum of 3 years working in tourism sales
