Calgary, AB (May 28, 2026) – Travel Alberta, in partnership with Tourism Calgary, Destination Canada, and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, is proud to announce that Calgary has been selected to host Rendez-vous Canada 2027, marking the 50th anniversary of Canada’s largest international tourism marketplace.

Scheduled for April 28 to May 1, 2027, Rendez-vous Canada will connect hundreds of international travel buyers with Canadian tourism businesses in a high-impact marketplace designed to drive business, strengthen partnerships, and increase visitation from key markets. This signature event is produced by Destination Canada and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.

Travel and tourism revenue in Canada is projected to increase by 6 per cent and reach $140.9 billion this year according to the Canadian Tourism Outlook Report, produced by Destination Canada and Tourism Economics.

At this year's event (2026), Rendez-vous Canada welcomed a record number of international travel buyers and Canadian tourism sellers in Toronto from May 26 to 29, 2026, signaling unprecedented global interest in Canada’s tourism experiences, and a projected $100 million in sales.

“Rendez-vous Canada 2027 in Calgary will be a defining moment to showcase Alberta on the global stage, connecting international buyers with the experiences that set us apart,” said David Goldstein, President and Chief Executive Officer, Travel Alberta. “Through this signature event, we will bring Canada’s Wild Side to life, driving new business, strengthening global partnerships and delivering lasting impact for our visitor economy and communities across the province.”

As Calgary continues to strengthen its position as a world-class host city, it is entering a new era of bold investment and transformative infrastructure, including a wave of new and revitalized hotels, a reimagined arts and culture corridor and a state-of-the-art arena at the heart of the Culture & Entertainment District.

“Calgary is in its most exciting chapter yet, with investments that are redefining Canada’s Blue Sky City and we’re thrilled to be welcoming Rendez-vous Canada for such an important milestone year,” said Alisha Reynolds, President and CEO, Tourism Calgary. “With easy access to five UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Rockies, Calgary is becoming more connected, vibrant, and welcoming than ever before, promising a truly inspiring experience for global partners and buyers.”

“Tourism’s opportunity to contribute to Canada’s trade diversification efforts starts on the tradeshow floor, and the growing visitor economies of Calgary and Alberta will provide the perfect setting for those global business connections,” said Marsha Walden, President & CEO, Destination Canada. “We are thrilled to welcome the world to Calgary for Rendez-vous Canada’s 50th anniversary to showcase the strength, competitiveness and momentum of Canada’s $134 billion tourism sector on the world stage.”

“For 50 years, Rendez-vous Canada has helped bring Canadian tourism businesses and destinations into conversation with the world — opening doors to new travellers, new markets and new possibilities,” said Sébastien Benedict, President and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.“ As we mark this milestone in Calgary, we are reminded that tourism is not only one of Canada’s most dynamic sectors, but also one of its great investment opportunities, creating the capacity, jobs and long-term value needed to meet growing global demand.”

Following a successful 48th edition in Edmonton in 2024,which welcomed more than 350 international buyers from 29 countries and generated more than 4,000 room nights, Calgary will continue the momentum, once again bringing the world to Alberta. This event is expected to generate significant economic impact for Calgary and the province. Beyond the marketplace, the event will showcase the province’s diverse offering, from vibrant urban experiences and culinary excellence to iconic landscapes and Western hospitality.

In 2025, Alberta’s visitor economy grew by more than six percent, outpacing the national average of approximately four percent. With a strong pipeline of new tourism products and continued investment in winter, rural, and Indigenous experiences, Alberta is well positioned to leverage Rendez-vous Canada 2027 to drive further economic impact and unlock new international business opportunities.
