Access all of Travel Alberta’s digital services with one account: your Passport.

Simple, secure, and free

With single sign-on (SSO), signing into Travel Alberta’s digital services is easier, safer, and more connected.

Here’s how it works:

  • One account, many uses: Use the same email and password to access the Grant Management Tool (GMT), the Multimedia Library (MML), and the Alberta Tourism Information Service (ATIS).
  • Sign in your way: Use your existing Google or Microsoft account so you don't need to remember another password.
  • Better support: If you ever need help signing in, our support team is ready to assist, especially as more online tools are added. Reach out to the team at tapassport@travelalberta.com.

Which digital services are included in Passport?

Multimedia Library (MML)

Grant Management Tool (GMT)

ATIS (joining in Fall 2025)

Sign in on any service. It's that easy.

Accessing your Passport account

If you already have an MML or GMT account, you're registered with Passport and can use the same sign-in information for both platforms.

If you're new, then when you're on the sign-in page, you can:

  • Sign in with your email and password
  • Sign in with your Microsoft or Google account
  • Register with an email address
  • Reset your account password

Note: ATIS will be joining the Passport family in Fall 2025. More details to come.

Why one account?

A unified sign-in isn’t just about convenience—it’s about:

  • Efficiency: Less time managing multiple accounts means more time focusing on what matters - growing your business.
  • Security: Your information is protected through Microsoft’s trusted identity platform.
  • Compliance: A unified sign-in helps make sure Travel Alberta follows the regulations that protect your personal information and privacy.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're a new ATIS user, you can follow these steps.

If you're an existing ATIS user, you can choose one of the following options to sign in:

  • Continue with Google or Microsoft: If your ATIS email is a Google address (for example, ends with @gmail.com) or a Microsoft/Outlook/Office 365 address, simply click “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Microsoft.” Use the same email as your current ATIS account.
  • Use your existing Travel Alberta password: If you have already signed in to MML or GMT, use that same email and password.
  • Prefer email & password and don’t use Google/Microsoft: Click “Create an account.” Enter the same email you use for ATIS and set a new password. Using the same email links, your existing ATIS account will be automatically linked.

Note: your old ATIS password will not work after ATIS joins the Passport platform.

Once this is complete, you will use the same login credentials for:

  • Alberta Tourism Information Service (ATIS)
  • Multimedia Library (MML)
  • Grant Management Tool (GMT)

No, you will not lose your listings. The first time you sign in through the Passport platform, it will connect your account to your existing ATIS account (if you use the same email address associated with it). After that, it's the same sign in information for all of Travel Alberta's digital services (MML, GMT, and ATIS).

We’re moving to one Travel Alberta account for ATIS, MML, and GMT to make it easier for you to switch between services and add an extra security check. Each time you sign in, we’ll send a quick one‑time code to your email. We know that’s an extra step, but it significantly reduces unauthorized access and protects your listings and data.

No! You only need one account to access all of Travel Alberta digital services like GMT, MML, and ATIS (joining soon). Just use the same email address when signing in.

You might be signed in automatically! Travel Alberta digital services use a unified sign-in platform that lets you stay signed in across GMT, MML, and ATIS (joining soon). Not sure which account you're using? Just check your name in the top right of the screen once you’ve signed in.

If you're using the same browser and device, you can move between digital services like GMT, MML, or ATIS (joining soon) without signing in again — this is called single sign-on (SSO).

Note: When you first use each digital service, you may be prompted to agree to the service's Terms & Conditions and/or Privacy Policy, and additional information (such as your company name) may be requested.

No, you’ll need to sign in again. Your sign-in session is only shared within the same browser on the same device.

The first time you log in to a specific digital service (eg. GMT, MML, or ATIS), even if you have an existing Travel Alberta Passport account from using another service, you may be required to provide additional information and accept the terms and conditions specific to that service. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the registration process. This process ensures that your profile is complete and current to access the additional service.

Not automatically. Each system may store some of your profile info separately. If you update your profile or preferences in one digital service, you may also need to update the details in the others.

If you use a Microsoft or Google account to sign in, you’ll need to change your password through that platform.

If you use a local account with email and password, click “Forgot Password?” on the sign-in screen to reset it.

Yes! As long as you use the same email address, you’ll be directed to the same account, no matter which login method you use.

You are not able to change your email address through self-service as it is used to identify your account. Please contact the Travel Alberta sign-in platform support team at tapassport@travelalberta.com for assistance.

Your email address serves as your sign-in identification for your account so the systems would identify you as two separate people. To utilize the unified sign-in platform, you must log in to each digital service with the same email address.

You are not able to connect these accounts through self-service. Please contact the Travel Alberta sign-in platform support team at tapassport@travelalberta.com for assistance.
