When you choose to list your business in the Alberta Tourism Information Service (ATIS) free digital marketing platform the following terms will apply. Travel Alberta reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, in its sole discretion.
The Alberta Tourism Information Service (ATIS)
ATIS is Travel Alberta's free digital marketing platform designed to help your Alberta tourism business by sharing content across multiple marketing channels and websites. You can add your business listings, events and offers into ATIS and your content will be shared to travelalberta.com and a network of publishers, websites and apps promoting Alberta as a top destination for visitors around the world. You are required to create an account in order to upload information about your business, events or offers.
Provided Content
By submitting business information and images (such as photos, logos, artwork) (together, “Content”), you give Travel Alberta an irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to display the Content, in association with your business, anywhere it will benefit the Alberta tourism industry and Alberta marketing efforts, as determined by Travel Alberta, in its sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, TravelAlberta.com, Industry.TravelAlberta.com, on the ATIS, advertising campaign websites, social media channels and syndicating content to other websites, mobile applications and platforms. You confirm that you, and any other moral rights holder, waive all moral rights in the Content for these purposes. You confirm that you have the right and authority to provide Travel Alberta with this license and waiver and you have obtained the permission of any individual whose image appears in the Content to give this license. You will indemnify Travel Alberta against any third-party claims of infringement. You retain ownership over any content you provide. Travel Alberta is not responsible for the accuracy of your Content, we are simply a conduit for displaying your information.
By submitting your Content to Travel Alberta, you agree that Travel Alberta and its authorized agents may contact you, from time to time, by email or phone to ensure that the information you have submitted to Travel Alberta remains accurate and up-to-date. Travel Alberta may also contact you periodically to provide performance metrics on your ATIS content and to provide news or updates on ATIS, including but not limited to new features or program changes. We reserve the right to edit, add, update and/or remove listings or Content at our sole discretion, including but not limited to edits for clarity or to add Travel Alberta owned or licensed photos, updates to address or contract information, and removal of content in instances where Travel Alberta receives infringement complaints.
Accounts
The contact information you provide when you create an account, including but not limited to your name, e-mail address, phone number and position/ title, will be associated with the business listing you have provided. This information may be used to contact you so that at a future date you will be able to manage the content for your business listing directly in the user platform. Your account is intended for use by your business only, please protect your password and keep the account information up to date. We reserve the right to cancel accounts or remove listings at our sole discretion.
Freedom of Information and Protection (FOIP)
Contact information and Content is collected in compliance with section 33 (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act, for the purposes set out above. This information is not disclosed except as follows:
- To authorized personnel or agents who need access to this information in order to operate and manage ATIS, and
- As otherwise permitted by FOIP.
The contact information and Content is secure once it reaches the Travel Alberta server. In transit between your computer and the server, however, it may not be secure.
