Outbound travel from South Korea continued to recover in 2022, estimated at 19% of 2019 levels, up from 6% in 2021. With travel restrictions now largely lifted in South Korea and in short and mid-haul destinations, outbound travel recovery will continue to pick up through 2023. Oxford Economics forecasts outbound travel to be 42% of 2019 levels in 2023, and returning to peak by 2026.
