Air passengers are the actual number of people who travelled by air to Alberta, including direct and indirect flights. The dashboards show the number of passengers flying into Calgary International Airport (YYC) and Edmonton International Airport (YEG) by key market. Domestic data does not include travel within Alberta.
Historically, a significant portion of overseas visitors arrive through other provinces, which is not reflected above. Passenger data is used as a preliminary indicator of visitation levels.
