What you need to do
Existing data and listings will be moved over to the new ATIS platform by Travel Alberta.
1. Spread the word. Help inform local operators about the upcoming transition.
2. Encourage participation. After launch, encourage operators to join the new ATIS and ensure current ATIS users claim their listings when notified.
3. Ease the transition. Guide operators to various support resources once they are live in October.
Commonly asked questions about ATIS
Accounts and any listings you had on the old system have been migrated over. On October 17, 2024, ATIS users will receive an email with step-by-step instructions on how to claim listings. This process ensures all migrated organizations and listings from the previous platform are claimed by the correct owner in the new ATIS. Claiming your listings allows you to edit and manage your listing and organization on ATIS and will only take five minutes to complete.
Listings need to be claimed by January 17, 2025. There will be multiple reminders sent out. If you had an organization and listings on the original platform and do not receive a claim your listing email please check your junk inbox. If you still do not see one please email atissupport@travelalberta.com
If listings are not claimed by January 17, 2025, they will stay live online but ownership of the listings will be transferred to the Travel Alberta team to manage.
ATIS listings will appear on the Travel Alberta website and local DMO partners’ sites. This includes channels such as travelalberta.com campaign sites, email marketing campaigns, social media, visitor information centres, contact centres and other third-party sites through possible distribution agreements.
We will be accepting new ATIS API connections in winter 2024 and we will update this information once we are ready to connect DMO websites.
DMO websites that were connected to the original ATIS system will be sent detailed instructions on how to switch to the new ATIS API.
ATIS is a free marketing tool developed by Travel Alberta to increase the reach of Albertan tourism providers.
Your offering should be approved in under 48 hours. Once approved, your listing will appear immediately on travelalberta.com. Note: It may take an additional 1 - 2 weeks for Google to index your listing and display it as a result when using the TA search function.
