One of the most unique cottage resorts in Alberta, Charmed Resorts offers a selection of whimsical camping cottages in the Crowsnest Pass. Since the resort first opened in the summer of 2020, it has grown from four magical retreats to seven, thanks to investors like Travel Alberta.

A popular destination for families, each cottage has its own theme inspired by famous children’s stories. There’s a cottage inspired by Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night's Dream," a Rapunzel cottage, Rumpelstiltskin’s Tower, a cottage inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk, and two elven abodes.

Its newest cottage is the Wicked Witch’s infamous gingerbread house from the story Hansel and Gretel. Sleeping up to six guests and featuring a fire pit, wood-fired hot tub and more, this brand-new cottage was installed in April and is now open for bookings.

Charmed Resorts is planning to add even more cottages inspired by a variety of stories from Peter Pan to a Viking homestead, as well as a Shoppe located off the main highway that would be open to the public.

Their three-year projections estimate the project will create almost two dozen new jobs, mostly full-time, with more to come over time as the resort continues expanding.

Offering unique accommodations that excite visitors and Albertans alike, Charmed is an inspiring example of the kind of innovation and creativity that has become embedded in Alberta tourism businesses.

As we enter a new era of travel, Travel Alberta is proud to support developments like this that push us forward as a dream destination for travellers around the globe.
