Overview: ATIS and the Travel Alberta Passport

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up your ATIS account as a new user and how to manage and access your account as an existing user. Registering with ATIS is the single most important action you can take to be included in Travel Alberta’s marketing efforts, completely free. By creating an ATIS account, you can access all of Travel Alberta’s digital services: this is your Travel Alberta Passport.

To set up your ATIS account, your first step will be to create your Personal Profile and Organization Profile.

Your Personal Profile contains the information needed to open your account, such as your email. ATIS will use this information to communicate important information and updates. Your personal email and number will not be made public.

Your Organization Profile is where you’ll manage your company information, such as business name, address, and website. You can edit the display settings for this information to make it visible on travelalberta.com.

How to set up a new account

  1. Create a “Personal Profile”
    1. Navigate to ATIS
    2. Click Sign in or create account
    3. Continue with your Google or Microsoft account
    4. If you don’t have a Google or Microsoft account, follow these steps.
      1. Click the link Create an account
      2. Verify & access your account through your email
  2. Create your “Organization Profile”
    1. On the welcome page, click “Get started”
    2. Enter your organization's name, website address and logo (if available)
    3. Click Continue
    4. Enter your organization’s address and preferred contact information
      1. Note: Your chosen contact details, such as your email and/or phone number, will be visible to travellers visiting your listing page on travelalberta.com.
    5. Travel Alberta will automatically assign a region based on the address you provide
      1. Click “Change region” to update this if it seems incorrect
      2. Note: This information helps us connect you to appropriate regional resources
    6. Choose your initial Display Preferences
      1. These settings determine what information will be live on travelalberta.com . You can adjust this later in “My Account”.
    7. Click “Continue”
    8. Review your information and confirm its accuracy
      1. You can invite and manage additional team members later in your “My Account” settings.
    9. Click “Finish”
  3. Get started
    1. Now that you have your account set up, you’re ready to start listing your tourism offerings on ATIS. Learn how to set up your first listing here.

Managing your account as an existing user

If you have already created an ATIS account, you can manage your personal info and organization details under the My Account tab on the ATIS dashboard.

  1. Navigate to the ATIS dashboard and click My Account
    • On desktop, it will be on the left side of your screen
    • On mobile, it will be in the top right menu
  2. Click Personal info or Organization details
  3. Click Edit on the top right corner of the section you wish to update
  4. Once finished, click Save Changes

Frequently asked questions

Need to add more organizations?

You can add and manage multiple organizations by navigating to your ATIS dashboard and clicking “Switch Teams” in the bottom-left menu. You can also access this from the sign-in screen, using the “Create New Organization” button.

What if my organization's address differs from my listing address?

The location information in your Organization Profile will not restrict you from creating listings based in other regions. Your organization's region will be used to connect you with a relevant destination development manager and resources.
