Investing in what makes Alberta unique

Indigenous tourism offers deep, meaningful and fun experiences to travellers, while also supporting the livelihoods of Indigenous entrepreneurs, the revitalization of cultures and offering reconciliation opportunities to non-Indigenous travellers.

The industry is supported by Indigenous Tourism Alberta (ITA), which assists and promotes authentic Indigenous tourism experiences across the province.

About ITA

Growing our vital partnership

Over the next three years, Travel Alberta will contribute $6 million to grow ITA.

This investment will support the development of new tourism products, help expand existing offerings and more effectively market Indigenous experiences.

Working together

open-quote

To develop Indigenous tourism in Alberta, we have to work together. Alberta is already knocking it out of the park because we’re working together to tell these stories to the world. To grow the industry, we’ll need to partner as much as possible. It’s not just about Indigenous tourism. It’s all of us.
