Product Development Fund
Operation time
Minimum of 6 months
Eligible applicants
Alberta-based tourism operators (including startups), Indigenous organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and municipalities
Eligible projects
Tourism assets and/or infrastructure, and promotional support
Matching contribution
At least 25% from project owner is required
Minimum Travel Alberta investment
$75,000
Application period
Expression of Interest is now closed. Successful candidates will be contacted to fill out a formal grant application.
Rural Development & Promotion Fund
Operation time
Minimum of 3 years
Eligible applicants
Alberta-based destination organizations, not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, chambers of commerce, and industry associations
Eligible projects
Product and experience development, and promotional support
Minimum Travel Alberta investment
$50,000
Application period
Application intake is now closed.
Events & Festivals Fund
Operation time
Minimum of 3 years
Eligible applicants
Alberta-based businesses, associations, and communities
Eligible projects
Events lasting two or more days that charge admission and target overnight visitation
Matching contribution
At least 25% from project owner is required
Minimum Travel Alberta investment
$25,000
