What is stale content?

If a listing hasn’t had a published change in 12 months, ATIS will consider it “stale” and at risk of inaccuracy. Inaccurate information can lead to confused travellers, so periodically checking the accuracy of content is an important part of listing maintenance.

If your listing is marked as stale, it will still be live on ATIS. The Stale Content tag is internal, letting you see at a glance which listings require action.

Removing the stale tag is very easy. It requires just a quick button press on the listing’s page or will disappear automatically in response to a content edit.

Why should I update my listing?

Keeping your listings up to date benefits both you and potential travellers.

Useful and accurate information ranks high in Google’s search results. Search engines consider regularly updated content as more relevant, which can improve the visibility of your listing.

Refreshing your listings also helps travellers find what they need and builds trust in your offering. If you take the opportunity to add a few new photos or details—even better! Learn how to write an effective ATIS description here.

What if I don’t review my listing?

If stale content isn’t addressed within a month, the ATIS team may step in to review, update, or unpublish your listing. You’ll be sent three emails before this happens, so keep an eye on your inbox and ensure we have the correct email address on file.

How to address stale content

  2. Click My Listings in the left-side menu
