The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing professional and administration assistance on a day to day basis to the Management team in Galaxyland.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Preparing and coordinating a variety of administrative service documentations and correspondence for the office including spreadsheet maintenance, data entry, and general letter and memo preparation.

-Working on various administrative special projects, reports, department policy and procedures administration, incident documentation, research, etc.

-Assisting with department payroll administrative functions and staff scheduling responsibilities and working on new hire paperwork, documentation and required follow ups.

-Maintaining daily calendars, coordinating meetings and appointments for the Galaxyland Management and taking required meeting minutes.

-Completing office administrative duties such as, including faxing, filing, scanning, photocopying, maintaining office supply inventories and proper office invoice procedures.

-Prioritizing workloads, screening and forwarding e-mails and phone calls and responding to walk in inquiries.

-Assisting at the Galaxyland Information Centre when required and preforming various other administrative and customer service related responsibilities as required.

Desired Qualifications:

-Two (2) – three (3) years’ experience in a similar fast-paced office environment in an administrative based role.

-Completion of a post-secondary diploma in office administration or a related field is a definite asset.

-A professional attitude and demeanor complemented by excellent customer relations skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.

-Strong organizational, problem solving, cash handling experience and proven time-management skills in the workplace.

-Excellent typing and computer skills including a strong working knowledge of MS office programs word, excel, and outlook as well as the ability to adapt to other software programs if required.
