  4. CALGARY SHIFT REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

SHiFT, Travel Alberta’s sought-after experiential travel training program, is coming to Calgary, March 9-12, 2020, and you can be a part of it!

As a SHiFT attendee you will be immersed in the experience development process, learning how to develop and deliver memorable tourism experiences to help grow your business.

Be prepared for 3.5 days of immersive and interactive learning that unleashes your creativity! You’ll leave SHiFT with fresh ideas for developing visitor experiences and you’ll take home practical tips, tools and templates to guide you through development and implementation.

Here’s what some past attendees have to say about SHiFT:

“I’m leaving SHiFT with a sense of rejuvenation. For a lot of us, our day to day duties involve juggling a lot of balls and wearing different hats. Experience development is a ball that can easily be dropped. But this has allowed me focus and come away with a lot of ideas.” – Cole Fawcett, Castle Mountain Resort

“As soon as we broadened the experience… we opened entirely new markets, broadened our exposure and appeal and increased our sales channels.” – Adam Walker, Canmore Cave Tours

Travel Alberta’s SHiFT Experiential Training Program is the only course of its kind in Canada. It equips Alberta businesses and organizations with the knowledge and tools to take their experience development to the next level.

At Travel Alberta, we know that behind every ‘goose bump moment’ there is an Alberta business that’s focused on providing innovative experiences to visitors here at home and around the world. SHiFT, which is held in a different Alberta community each year, combines classroom training and excursions to local businesses that are piloting new experiences, leaving a legacy in each host community.

SHiFT 2019, held in Sylvan Lake, sold out in just four days. Over 20 tourism businesses and Destination Marketing Organizations from around the province immersed themselves in learning how to take their products to the next level.
